Repercussions for Violating the Code of Conduct

  1. Verbal Warning

For a first minor offense, members will receive a verbal warning from a designated leader or supervisor.

  2. Written Warning

Repeated violations or a single serious offense will result in a written warning, detailing the behavior and expectations for improvement.

  3. Suspension from Membership

Continued failure to adhere to the Code may lead to temporary suspension from participation in meetings or activities, with the duration to be determined by leadership.

  4. Termination of Membership

In cases of severe misconduct or repeated violations after warnings have been issued, membership may be terminated. As stated in Section 3.8 of the IBBA Bylaws, the IBBA Board of Directors may exercise their rights to cancel a membership at any time.

Members are expected to uphold this Code of Conduct to contribute to a collaborative and respectful environment for all.

In order to maintain a productive and respectful environment during video calls and on email lists, it is essential that all participants adhere to our code of conduct. If you violate these guidelines after receiving verbal warnings, you will be muted for the remainder of the video session. This measure helps ensure that the conversation remains focused and respectful for everyone involved.  If a member continues to violate these guidelines, they will receive a formal warning, and repeated offenses may result in temporary or permanent removal from video calls and email lists. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in creating and maintaining a positive, welcoming atmosphere for all participants.
